Time Tracking: Administrative precision and greater employee autonomy

Index

The Time Tracking module features a new suite of tools designed to bring greater accuracy to attendance tracking. Additionally, we are providing employees with full visibility into their workdays from any device.

Why is it important?

Having reliable attendance records is essential for operational transparency and organization. When the system automatically validates geographic locations or closes forgotten shifts, it eliminates discrepancies in hours-worked reports. At the same time, allowing team members to review their own history reduces HR administrative inquiries and fosters coordination based on real, accessible data for everyone.

Control and efficiency: What’s new?

For the admin: Smart rules and validations

  • Automated clock-out: Prevents incomplete records when an employee forgets to log their departure.
  • Location-based restrictions: Blocks the clock-in attempt if the employee is outside the permitted radius of their assigned location.
  • Automated incident logging: Generates a missing-punch alert after each automated clock-out to keep the attendance history organized.

For the employee: Web tools and quick inquiries

  • Web clock & history: Enables employees to clock in/out and check their attendance logs directly from their computers.
  • Detailed monthly calendar: Provides a navigable view showing hours worked, assigned shifts, public holidays, approved leaves, and rest days.
  • Full synchronization: The web clock stays synced with the platform header to reflect real-time shift status.

Time management in action

How can you leverage these features in daily operations?

  • “An employee left their workstation and forgot to clock out on the platform.” The system detects the open record after the configured time threshold and applies the “Match to end of shift” rule, ensuring the hours report is accurate without manual HR intervention.
  • “You want to ensure that staff at a specific branch can only clock in once they’ve entered the premises.” Enable Geo-fencing in their time-tracking policy so the app restricts the shift start if the employee is outside the location’s coordinates.
  • “A team member wants to check how many hours they worked last week to organize their tasks.” They can log into their web history and expand each calendar day to view clock-ins, clock-outs, and total accumulated hours against scheduled time.
