More control over internal communication
Every organization has its own communication structure and workflows. Humand’s Chat module now lets administrators control which employees can start new one-on-one or group conversations.
With this update, administrators can:
- Define which roles can start new conversations in Chat.
- Manage these permissions centrally through Roles & Permissions.
- Tailor Chat usage to their organization’s structure, processes, and communication policies.
This allows every organization to create a communication experience that fits the way their teams work while giving different employee groups the appropriate level of access.
Know the status of your group messages
In group conversations, it’s helpful to know whether a message was successfully delivered and whether everyone has seen it.
Group chats now include two message status indicators:
- Double gray checkmarks: confirm that the message was successfully sent.
- Double blue checkmarks: indicate that every member of the group has read the message.
This gives participants greater visibility into the status of their messages and helps teams communicate more effectively.
Keep conversations moving
It’s common to switch between multiple conversations throughout the workday. To help you stay on top of important messages, this update introduces improvements for both web and mobile.
Users can now:
- Keep message drafts when switching between conversations.
- Jump back to the latest messages in long conversations from the mobile app.
- See unread conversation indicators directly in the browser tab on the web.
These improvements make it easier to maintain context, pick up where you left off, and respond to messages more quickly.
