Grimoldi: connecting 900 employees across the country

With teams distributed across stores, warehouses, the factory, and offices, Grimoldi needed a simpler way to communicate and manage its internal processes. With Humand, the company moved away from emails, paper, and manual forms to build a digital experience accessible to the entire organization.

The challenge of connecting a distributed operation

With employees spread across the country, Grimoldi needed to reach teams with very different roles and realities.

Only 10% regularly worked at a computer. The rest were based in stores, warehouses, or the factory, including salespeople, operators, and analysts covered by three different labor unions.

Internal communication relied mainly on email, with no clear information about who was reading the messages or whether they were being understood. At the same time, many Human Resources processes were still paper-based, making it difficult to manage forms, employee records, signatures, and documentation across different locations.

A simple experience for every team

Grimoldi needed a tool that was accessible to the entire organization, including employees who did not work at a computer. With Humand, the company was able to centralize communication and digitize processes through a simple and familiar experience.

Today, birthday notifications, company news, events, and celebrations are part of the start of the workday and help keep the team connected.

The platform’s ease of use also encouraged adoption beyond Human Resources. Other departments, such as Marketing and Sales, began using it independently.

“Today, Humand is no longer just a Human Resources tool. It has become a tool for the entire company. The Marketing and Sales teams are now expert users,” explains Nicolás Welfo, Head of Human Resources and Transformation at Grimoldi.

From paper to digital management

With Humand, Grimoldi transformed processes that were previously manual and paper-based:

  • Payslips: employees can access their documents directly through the platform.
  • Internal communication: company news, birthdays, events, and celebrations are shared on the wall.
  • Onboarding and documents: new hire processes and related documentation are managed digitally.
  • Forms: processes that previously required four printed pages were reduced to just five digital fields.
  • Training: courses and learning content are available to different teams through the same platform.

This transformation simplified the work of the Personnel Administration team and enabled employees to complete tasks more quickly, from anywhere.

Communication that can be measured

Before Humand, Grimoldi had no way of knowing who was reading emails, whether the messages were being understood, or which content generated the most interest.

With the platform’s reports, the company began gaining insights into who was logging in, how they were accessing the platform, and which content was most relevant to employees. This data helps the team learn, refine its strategy, and make decisions based on actual employee behavior.

“Before, we sent a lot of emails and did not know who was reading them or whether they were being understood. Humand allowed us to see whether people understood the message and to receive feedback,” says Nicolás.

An implementation that was simpler than expected

At the beginning of the project, there were concerns about technology, connectivity, and implementing the platform across such a distributed operation. However, the process proved to be smoother than expected.

“It took us longer to decide to get started than it took to implement the system. The implementation was very easy,” Nicolás recalls.

The support provided during onboarding and the team’s fast response times were also key to continuing to add new modules and processes.

“Humand became a great strategic partner, not only for Human Resources but for the entire company. It helped us challenge the idea that technology is difficult and show that it can be easy to use and create value for everyone.”

Technology within reach of the entire organization

For Grimoldi, Humand’s impact went beyond digitizing tasks or replacing email. The platform helped demonstrate that technology can be simple, user-friendly, and valuable for people with very different roles.

Today, different departments actively participate in internal communication and management, while the company continues working to improve efficiency and use technology as a strategic tool.
