Communicators on the outside, disconnected on the inside
Luzu is a media company that creates content for millions of people and manages a dynamic operation shaped by social media, guests, and live programming. However, internally, the fast pace of everyday work meant that internal communication often took a back seat.
As Luzu grew, its internal processes began to fall behind. Important announcements were shared through the company’s own social media channels, time off was managed in an Excel spreadsheet, and payslips were signed by hand. What had worked for a small team no longer met the needs of a rapidly expanding organization.
One platform for communication and management
Luzu needed to address two key challenges: strengthening internal communication and simplifying Human Resources processes. Humand brought both needs together on a single platform, offering a simple, approachable, and familiar experience for a team used to navigating digital environments.
“It’s a mix of many different platforms. At times, it feels like Instagram when you want to share an institutional announcement, and then it becomes as transactional as ordering an Uber,” the Luzu team explains.
This combination of communication and management, within an experience similar to the apps the team already used every day, helped drive natural adoption.
From completing tasks to building internal communication
Today, Luzu uses Humand to centralize both internal communication and several Human Resources processes:
- Internal communication: news, announcements, and culture-related content reach the entire team directly through one central space.
- Service management: time-off and leave requests are submitted and managed entirely through the platform, replacing Excel spreadsheets.
- Documents: payslips are distributed digitally, eliminating the need for manual signatures.
- Surveys: the team uses them to test content, gather opinions, and understand how people across the organization are feeling.
But the transformation went beyond adopting new tools. Internal communication became so relevant that Luzu created a dedicated team to develop it, made up of a creative producer and a content creator, with a content strategy designed specifically for the people within the organization.
“Humand came in and solved everything internally. We were communicators on the outside, but internally, the fast pace of work sometimes got the better of us.”
More time for what matters
The clearest impact for the Human Resources team was gaining back valuable time. The hours previously spent filling out spreadsheets, coordinating signatures, and managing requests by email can now be focused on higher-value initiatives, such as culture, process improvement, and team development.
With Humand, Luzu not only simplified its internal management but also created the space to build a culture that reflects who they are on the inside.
