Yagmour: How to Connect Factories, Warehouses, Stores, and Offices in One Place

With teams distributed across factories, warehouses, stores, and central offices, Yagmour needed a solution that could reach all employees equally. With Humand, the company centralized processes, communication, and information in a single, simple platform accessible from mobile devices.

The challenge of reaching everyone equally

Yagmour brings together very different employee profiles and work environments. While some employees work in offices, others carry out their day-to-day activities in factories, warehouses, or retail stores.

Only 50% of the company has direct access to a computer or corporate email. This made it challenging to reach the entire organization with the same information and meant that many communications depended on internal cascades that could break down before reaching everyone.

On top of that, Human Resources management was spread across different applications and providers. Processes, information, and services lived in separate tools, making both the employee experience and visibility for the HR team more difficult.

Yagmour needed to centralize. But above all, it needed to do so through a tool simple enough to be used by anyone in the organization, regardless of their role or level of access to technology.

An HR experience accessible from anywhere

With Humand, Yagmour was able to bring together in one place processes that had previously been spread across different solutions. Direct mobile access was a key factor in enabling adoption across all employee profiles, from factory and warehouse teams to sales associates, managers, and directors.

Today, nearly 98% of employees use Humand on a daily basis to manage different day-to-day needs, including:

  • Time Tracking: employees can record and access information related to their working hours directly through the platform.
  • Payslips: documentation is available digitally and easily accessible to each employee.
  • Time Off: employees can access information and manage requests from one place.
  • Benefits: employees can view the benefits available to them based on their role.
  • Internal Communications: information reaches all employees directly, without relying on communication cascades or intermediaries.
  • Requests and inquiries: different HR processes are centralized and can be managed through the same platform.

The result is a consistent experience across the entire company, regardless of where each person works.

Democratizing access to information

For Yagmour, one of the most significant changes was reducing employees’ dependence on Human Resources as an intermediary for getting answers.

Previously, resolving a question could require searching across different sources before putting together an answer. Today, much of that information is readily available, allowing employees to find what they need directly, whenever they need it.

This enabled Yagmour to move toward what Gabriela Ayala, Human Resources Manager at Yagmour, describes as the democratization of information: ensuring that understanding a process, resolving a question, or finding an answer does not depend on where someone works or on being able to contact a member of the HR team.

The platform also helped organize and provide greater visibility into processes that were previously fragmented or lacked the level of traceability the business needed.

Centralization also transformed the way Yagmour accesses information about its teams. Processes that previously relied on standalone tools, such as surveys conducted through external forms, are now part of the same ecosystem.

This makes it possible to understand how many people participate, how quickly they respond, and what insights each initiative generates, while maintaining traceability within the same communication channel. Having access to this data helps turn perceptions and assumptions into concrete information for better decision-making.

A simpler implementation than expected

After going through complex technology implementations in the past, the Yagmour team expected that introducing a new platform could create friction. But the experience turned out to be very different.

Humand’s implementation was faster, simpler, and more natural than expected, with an evolving process that allowed the company to adopt the platform progressively. To this day, the Yagmour and Humand teams continue to work together every week on new needs, ideas, and improvements, allowing the platform to keep evolving alongside the organization.

Beyond centralization and efficiency, for Yagmour the greatest impact comes down to something much simpler: being able to stay close to people even when sharing the same physical space every day is not possible.

“Being close to those we cannot be physically present with every day is, I believe, the key. It is about humanizing through accessibility.”
