Interborders: a culture that connects teams across borders

With employees distributed across five countries in Latin America, Interborders needed a way to support its growth without losing closeness, clarity, or culture. With Humand, the company found a shared meeting point to connect its teams, centralize processes, and strengthen a common identity across the region.

The challenge of building one shared culture across different countries

Growing across a region involves much more than opening new offices and adding employees. For Interborders, one of the main challenges was ensuring that teams located in different countries, shaped by different cultures, regulations, and ways of working, could still feel part of the same organization.

As the company expanded, Human Resources took on an increasingly strategic role: supporting the business, bringing in the right profiles, and developing internal talent without losing sight of what Interborders represents.

Over the past year, the company’s workforce grew by more than 25% across its network. That growth brought new development needs, greater coordination between teams, more activities, and, above all, the need to communicate goals and messages clearly and consistently.

The challenge was to find a tool that could unify that experience and help reinforce a culture defined by commitment, strong management, and dedication, regardless of the country each person worked from.

A common meeting point for the entire company

With Humand, Interborders found a shared space to support that expansion. The platform helped streamline both internal communications and different administrative processes, quickly becoming the company’s main communication channel.

Today, achievements, updates, and internal messages are shared in one place, allowing all employees to access the same information regardless of which office they work from.

In addition, the Human Resources team can measure the real impact of every communication: how many people it reached, how many reacted, who participated, and what conversations were generated around each piece of content. This level of visibility not only helps the team understand what is being communicated, but also continuously improve how the organization communicates.

Some of the modules and features they highlight most include:

  • Internal Communications: the entire company communicates through Humand. Achievements, updates, and messages are brought together in one place, while Human Resources can measure the reach of each post, reactions, comments, and overall engagement.
  • Documents: information and documentation that used to be printed or distributed across different channels can now be centralized in one place and made available to teams across the region.
  • Performance Management: digitizing the process helped organize and automate performance review stages, provide clearer results, and use metrics to support better decision-making.

From a communication tool to a cultural space

At first, Interborders saw Humand mainly as a one-way communication channel. However, employee participation ended up exceeding those expectations.

The platform evolved into an interactive space where people not only receive information, but also react, comment, participate, and gain greater visibility into what is happening across other offices and teams. This interaction became especially valuable for a geographically distributed organization. What once could feel like separate realities now comes together in one shared space within Humand.

Beyond centralizing information or digitizing processes, the greatest impact has been creating a stronger sense of closeness among people working in different countries.

A regional company that feels closer

With more than 150 people across five countries, Interborders continues to expand its operations and develop its talent. Humand supports that growth as a space to communicate, manage, measure, and build culture.

For a company that works every day to connect people and businesses across borders, having a space that also connects its teams internally has become an essential part of the way it works.

“Basically, I would describe it as a before and after. It is a cultural space, a space that allows us to interact and get to know each other. We are more than 150 people across five countries, and today, thanks to the platform, we always feel close.”
