When Distance Also Becomes a Management Barrier
Before Humand, one of Grupo L’s biggest challenges was reaching a workforce spread across the entire country. Many employees worked far from the company’s central offices, some did not have access to a computer, and in certain locations there was no nearby manager who could act as an intermediary.
This reality meant that any Human Resources communication or process depended on a long chain. Information had to be sent by email, passed through local managers, and only then reach employees. In an organization with thousands of people, every additional step increased delays, the likelihood of errors, and the difficulty of ensuring that the message had actually been received.
This was compounded by a diverse workforce with varying levels of familiarity with technology. However, there was one common point of access: the mobile phone. Turning it into a gateway to Human Resources created the opportunity to bring the organization closer to people who had previously remained beyond the reach of traditional digital channels.
A Direct Connection Across the Entire Organization
With Humand, Grupo L found a platform capable of simplifying processes, digitizing workflows, and bringing Human Resources closer to every employee, regardless of their location or access to a computer.
The platform made it possible to replace fragmented communications with a mobile, direct, and company-wide experience. Instead of relying exclusively on managers or intermediaries, the Human Resources team began reaching people directly and approaching each interaction from a more strategic perspective.
Humand stopped being just another tool within the company’s digital ecosystem and became a recurring question whenever a new initiative emerged: can we manage this through the platform and achieve a better outcome? That shift in mindset made it possible to revisit processes that had previously been handled out of habit, often through email, and find more agile and effective ways to manage them.
Simpler Processes, Without Unnecessary Intermediaries
The implementation of Humand opened up new possibilities across different areas and processes within the company. Among the use cases that generated the most visible impact were:
- Documents: previously, payslips were grouped together and sent by email to managers. They then had to print them, gather employees, and organize the signature of each document. With Humand, the entire process changed: Human Resources can now send documents directly to each person, reducing turnaround times, removing intermediate steps, and increasing certainty that documents are received and signed.
- Digital signatures: during a scholarship initiative, the company needed employees to sign a form as a requirement to access the benefit. Out of 500 available scholarships, 400 people completed the signature process through Humand in just one day. The speed of the response made it possible to move forward with the rollout without the delays that had previously characterized this type of process.
- Internal communication: the ability to reach employees through their phones made it possible to share Human Resources information in a more accessible and direct way. This was especially valuable for teams working in remote locations or without regular access to a computer.
The implementation and ongoing evolution of the platform were supported by the Humand team from the stages leading up to launch through the follow-up process. For Grupo L, that close partnership made it possible not only to adopt the technology, but also to continue discovering new use cases and planning future integrations, such as connecting KPI dashboards within the platform.
From Fragmented Management to a Seamless Experience
Today, 92% of Grupo L employees are active on Humand and use at least one of its modules. Beyond the adoption figure itself, the most important change lies in the company’s ability to connect with people regardless of where they work.
Removing intermediaries accelerated document signing, improved access to information, and reduced processes that once required printing, in-person coordination, and manual follow-up. At the same time, Human Resources gained a channel through which every initiative can be approached more strategically and its reach measured more clearly.
What once required overcoming distance, technological limitations, and multiple steps can now be resolved from a mobile phone. For an organization of more than 7,000 people, that transformation means building an experience that is closer, more equitable, and more connected for everyone.
“Simplifying, digitizing, and bringing people closer were our top priorities. We had not found the right tool to make that happen, and we found it in Humand.”
