Growth that calls for new ways of working

As Orien Openfarma added new locations, employees, and operational complexity, its HR processes began to fall behind. Reaching people distributed across pharmacies, warehouses, and the pharmaceutical distribution business depended on intermediaries, informal channels, and a large number of manual tasks.

The pharmaceutical distributor’s ISO 9001 certification raised the bar even further. The organization needed to ensure traceability, consistency, and greater control over documentation—something that was difficult to sustain with fragmented processes. To continue growing, it needed to transform the way it managed and communicated with the entire organization.

In search of digital transformation

Orien Openfarma needed to digitize its HR processes and offer employees a simpler, more accessible experience. Humand made it possible to begin with the most critical needs through an intuitive, mobile-accessible platform that was easy to adopt across very different roles and working environments.

The implementation was built collaboratively from day one. The close support provided by the Humand team made it possible to adapt the solution to the organization’s specific challenges, develop tailored responses, and support the evolution of the HR department as the project progressed.

An experience that spans the entire workday

Humand became part of the everyday employee experience at Orien Openfarma. From checking the latest news to recording attendance or completing a training course, different moments throughout the day can now be managed in a simpler and more accessible way.

  • Internal Communications: Company news, announcements, and content reach all 38 locations in real time. The wall allows each person to access information directly, without relying on intermediaries or informal channels.
  • Learning: Synchronous and asynchronous training is managed through the platform, making content easier to access, enabling the organization to track each employee’s progress, and helping sustain learning as the business grows.
  • Time and Attendance: Geolocation and facial recognition make it possible to track daily attendance across a distributed operation, with greater accuracy and traceability at every location.
  • Documents and Service Management: Digital signatures and internal requests replaced processes that previously relied on manual work. Today, employees can manage their requests directly, while the HR team has greater organization and visibility across every process.

More than 96% of the team connected and active

The impact can be seen both in the numbers and in Orien Openfarma’s everyday operations. Today, 856 employees actively use Humand, and between 80% and 90% view wall posts every day. Information reaches every location directly, keeping teams with very different routines and working realities connected.

The transformation also extended to learning. Training no longer depends on difficult-to-sustain logistics and has become a continuous, accessible process designed to support the organization’s growth.

More direct communication, continuous learning, and digital processes that preserve a sense of closeness.

“Humand helped us centralize communications, make training sustainable, and build an employee experience that is digital while remaining intuitive and close to each person in their workplace.”
