A Part of the Workforce They Couldn’t Reach
Grupo CPS has been developing technological solutions for critical sectors such as Intelligent Transportation and Telecommunications for more than thirty years. Internally, its Human Resources team faced a challenge that many organizations with distributed teams know well: there was a significant part of the workforce they simply could not reach.
Many of their employees work on construction sites and in the field, without a corporate email or phone. Since communication depended on chains of middle managers, important announcements often arrived late or did not arrive at all. Administrative processes required constant manual follow-up. And when it came to sharing key information, such as internal campaigns or company updates, there was not always a direct channel available.
On top of that, there was a specific and urgent need: complying with the legal obligation to track working hours. They needed a solution that worked for everyone, without exception, and that could be implemented quickly.
From Search to Implementation
The search criteria were clear from the start: a simple, intuitive tool that did not depend on access to a corporate email. A platform that any employee could adopt without friction, regardless of their profile or location.
Humand was the option that best fit Grupo CPS’s reality. Access is as easy as downloading an app: in just a few minutes, any employee can be inside the platform.
The team describes the process as the simplest implementation they have experienced with any tool. In approximately one month, from kickoff to go-live, they had Humand fully up and running. They started with time tracking, their most urgent need, and with support from the Humand team, they gradually incorporated new functionality module by module, at a fast pace and without major complications.
Everything HR Needed, in One Place
Today, Humand is Grupo CPS’s main internal communication channel. What began as a time-tracking solution has become a platform that supports HR’s daily operations. Some of the modules they highlight the most are:
- Internal Communication: announcements, updates, and campaigns reach all employees directly, wherever they are, without depending on intermediaries.
- Time Tracking: most of the workforce clocks in through the app. Office teams use Kiosk, while employees who rotate across projects throughout Spain clock in from the app. Today, Humand centralizes time tracking for 60% of users; the remaining percentage corresponds to administrative profiles and external teams that do not need to clock in.
- Documents: publishing is fully centralized on the platform, eliminating manual processes and email sends. So far in 2026, Grupo CPS has already distributed more than 13,000 payslips through Humand.
- Surveys: the organizational pulse is measured directly from the same app.
- Learning: the module is currently expanding to reach the entire workforce. To date, Grupo CPS has launched nearly 40 sessions, 35 of which have already been completed, and currently has 5 active courses. Scaling the production of its own content is one of the Group’s priorities for this year.
- Performance Reviews: the module has already been launched and is being implemented in stages, starting with assemblers and loaders. They use it as a key tool for talent detection.
“It has been a decisive step toward more modern, agile, and connected management.”
A Platform That Grows Alongside the Company
A few months ago, reaching the entire workforce at the same time seemed impossible. Today, Grupo CPS centralizes all of its internal communication in a single app. It even reaches those working in the field who had never had access to a direct HR channel before.
For Grupo CPS, this first year showed that integrating technology with purpose has a positive impact both on the way people work and on the connection between people across its companies.
