Transforming Human Resources to Support a New Reality
FEMSA Salud Chile was undergoing a major transformation in its structure and team composition. This change also meant rethinking the way Human Resources delivered services to employees.
Until recently, much of the support relied on generalist teams distributed across the different businesses, handling questions and needs in person and on an individual basis. As the organizational model evolved, that dynamic began to change.
At the same time, there were still numerous manual processes that needed to be automated and digitized. For FEMSA Salud, the challenge was no longer just about optimizing individual processes, but about building a new way of delivering Human Resources services.
The transformation of the service model made it clear that the company needed a platform capable of centralizing services and enabling employees to address their needs digitally.
FEMSA Salud Chile’s goal is to progressively move processes that previously relied on manual or in-person interactions to Humand, creating a single point of access for the Human Resources experience. In other words, the company is looking to evolve the entire service model.
An Implementation Built on Three Pillars
To move the project forward, FEMSA Salud Chile structured the implementation around three main workstreams.
- Technology integration: connecting the systems required to prepare for the platform rollout.
- Process and service review: analyzing the Human Resources service model together with an external consulting firm to define which processes needed to be transformed.
- Humand implementation: configuring and developing the platform together with the Humand team.
This approach made it possible to address the project not only as a technology implementation, but as part of a broader Human Resources transformation. The process was also supported by close collaboration among the different teams involved.
One of the project’s main goals is to ensure that digitization does not add complexity to the employee experience. That is why ease of use was an important factor for FEMSA Salud from the early stages of the process.
Humand enables the company to build a single space where employees can progressively access Human Resources services and processes, regardless of the business unit or team they belong to. From the first tests, the team consistently highlighted the platform’s user experience and ease of use.
A New Starting Point for Human Resources
For FEMSA Salud Chile, implementing Humand is part of a deeper transformation: moving from a model primarily based on in-person support and manual processes toward a more digital, scalable, and centralized Human Resources experience.
The project combines technology, process redesign, and shared learnings across the FEMSA ecosystem to build a new way of supporting employees. More than introducing a new tool, the goal is to lay the foundations for a model capable of supporting the company’s transformation and continuing to evolve alongside it.
“The platform looks very intuitive, very simple, and very easy to use.”
